The coat from McCall's 2292 was created from Hoffman Millennium fabric, a Kaufman, a Moda and Fairfield Soft touch Cotton on an APQS Ultimate I using the Hartley Fence. The quilted stars of Madeira Metallic Gold echo the stars on the millennium fabric.

The quilting on this piece was inspired by Norah's request that the hearts be accented by a feathered plume coming out of the top of each one. That plume forms the basis for the feather design stitched into the setting and corner triangles. The borders are freehand feathers with stippling to enhance the texture.
