We wish to dedicate this page to Pat and Peter Masley woodchuc@wcta.net for their work in compiling this information for the original MQS program(s) for the first three years of the showcase's existence..........among the many, many other things they were responsible for doing. The showcase community owes these two a big THANK YOU for three years of dedicated work. Thank you, Pat and Peter.

My husband, Tom, selected the pattern, then I started to collect fabrics. We also collected real leaves when we traveled in our motor home. Those are the patterns for the leaves. This quilt was started in 1993, before I owned a long arm. The 1st border is Marcia Stevens, nut grass pattern, 2nd border Hari Walner's Young Oak and 3rd border is Marcia Stevens Pine Trees. |

I used many different quilting techniques on this block of the month quilt. Blocks were echo quilted around the fruit with a beige cotton thread, squiggle stitch grids were used on the block borders, and detail was added to the fruit with mono filament thread. The outer border was free hand stitched in a leaf and berries pattern using Aurilus, 36 wt., green shaded, polyester thread. |
