We wish to dedicate this page to Pat and Peter Masley woodchuc@wcta.net for their work in compiling this information for the original MQS program(s) for the first three years of the showcase's existence..........among the many, many other things they were responsible for doing. The showcase community owes these two a big THANK YOU for three years of dedicated work. Thank you, Pat and Peter.
We also want to thank George Goumas ggoumas@earthlink.net for his continuing work in taking all these wonderful photographs. He does a fantastic job as you will see again this year. Inspired by a picture of an antique quilt in "The American Quilt" book. Susan used a lot of reproduction fabrics. The trapunto work was done with a 9 oz Hobbs polyester batting, cut away, and Warm & Natural for final quilting. Star 100% cotton thread. |

I used a block from Judy Martin's "The Block Book" for this quilt. The quilt really 'spoke' to me to quilt feathers in and out around the stars. I just started quilting and really had fun with it. I used Madeira Metallic and Sulky Sliver threads. |

I made this quilt for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday. I had always wanted to use Hari Walner's "Beatrice" quilting pattern and this quilt was perfect for it. I used part of the block pattern in the set in triangles and filled in with bits and pieces of it in orther places. Madeira Tanne thread was used. |

The cross stitch was done on a bus trip to Paducah. The finished top was one of the first I quilted on my machine. It has a Hobbs wool batt. Crosshatching on pillow area circles on pieced block and stippled around the parasols. |
